What is this about? In this live ticker we will keep you up to date on current events around Lost Ark. We will tell you everything about possible problems, but also special events around the headstart of the MMORPG.

Update 21:40: Those who signed up at 19:30 – as I did – are still sitting in the queue on Asta with 7,000 players in front of them. Since I’m going offline at 23:00, this will probably end with 0 minutes Lost Ark today.

Update 19:50: Lost Ark currently has 481,000 concurrent players and you can expect a queue of over 15,000 players.

Update 18:00: There are now more than 400,000 people online in Lost Ark. The queue on Asta is currently at 12,000 players.

Update 10:50 am: The servers in Europe are still quite empty and there are currently no queues. However, some have Trolls announced that they have “destroyed” well-known and popular character names in Lost Ark.

Update 9:00 am: The boss of Lost Ark was asked in an interview if his MMORPG was really postponed because of New World. The answer is interesting because he himself really wanted the T3 raids to be implemented in Lost Ark.

Update February 9, 7:30 am: After long queues yesterday, the numbers have dropped noticeably this morning. There are currently almost 220,000 players online (via SteamDB) and most of them play in America, there it is, depending on the place of residence, between 23:00 and 1:00. There is no queue on any European server.

Update 20:45: The queues are still getting longer instead of shorter, at least on Asta. In addition, Ntzers report that their PCs run quite hot while they are in the queue.

Update 20:15: Lost Ark has successfully launched on Steam. More about the number of players here: Lost Ark successfully launches on Steam – Reaches twice as many players as hoped by the boss.

Update 19.50: The first servers are marked as full and can probably no longer be accessed in some cases. But it still worked on Asta, with a queue of over 16,000 players.

Update 19:07: We have updated our article on the shop of Lost Ark.

Update 19:00: There was probably a fix just in time for the hour. All players who have been waiting from our guild can download now.

Update 18:45: Still the big problem is the download. Those who come into the game fresh can play without a queue.

If you want to get rid of the waiting time, you will find the latest information here:

Update 18:37: Our colleague Maurice Weber from GameStar is already in character creation. He shows you his experiences live on Twitch.

In addition, Lost Ark is celebrating huge success on Twitch:

At release, Lost Ark is the biggest game on Twitch – over 1,000,000 fans are watching

Update 18:30: Half an hour and there are still a lot of problems. According to Lost Ark, Steam is working on the problems.

Update 18:26: If you are in-game, there seems to be no queue. A player disconnected from us and was able to get back in immediately.

Update 18:17: I think the problems are getting bigger. Some users report that they have to download major updates at the start. Some report about 20 gigabytes, in reddit there is even talk of 50 GB. I myself only had a small patch of several hundred MB.

Update 18:13: A tip if you want to secure names. Immediately create all the characters with the appropriate name. You don’t have to press on games and so you don’t have any loading screens. But remember that you can not reserve names classically.

Update 18:11: Many players report that the download does not start at all. The rush seems to be getting bigger again.

Update 18:09: The players are coming in now, but there is an update that takes time. If you don’t see this, you’ll have to restart Steam.

Update 18:05: The game is still not started.

Update 18:00: The game is not live yet, but only a few seconds have passed.

Update 17:45: Another quarter of an hour until the official start. This time there seems to be no early start like in the beta or at New World.

Update 17:00: An hour before release, everything is still quiet at Lost Ark. However, MeinMMO author Mark Sellner was already able to try out the endgame in a special press preview. There he spent a lot of time in a content strongly reminiscent of Diablo: In the Tower of Lost Ark, the MMORPG suddenly becomes Diablo – And that’s really fun.

Update 15:30: The boss of Lost Ark has revealed when we will get the next classes in the West.

Update 14:30: At this point again the small reference to the announcement of the second Powerpass, which you can now earn:

Lost Ark gives you two characters at level 50 if you play correctly

Update 13:50: Community Manager Roxx has shared an important information about release in the forum. After the launch at 18:00 there will be a moment when Lost Ark will go through a “decryption” on Steam. This can only cost you a few minutes, but also, depending on the CPU, hard drive and Internet connection, take a little longer.

I don’t think there was ever any question of Headstart taking place; while it will take some time to decrypt the game at launch due to Steam-side processes, it will start tomorrow at 9 AM PT [18:00 Uhr deutscher Zeit] and this does not change. If you have purchased a Founder’s Pack, you can play at this time.

This is what I received from Valve about their decryption process“ “Decryption is an active process on the user’s machine. The time it takes to decrypt the game varies greatly and depends on the overall size of the game, the customer’s CPU power, and the customer’s hard drive speed. Customers with top systems will probably be able to start the game within a few minutes. Customers with older/slower computers will take longer.

Via Lost Ark Forum

According to the player Father, this problem arises because the Founders Packs are not the basic game, but DLCs.

When does the game start? The Headstart starts today at 18:00. However, you must have purchased one of the pre-order packages in order to participate.

The regular start for Free2Play players is also on February 11 at 18:00.

We also want to know how you prepared for the launch of Lost Ark. Are you free tomorrow? Will you order dinner tonight and play through the night? Or do you take it easy? Feel free to write it in the comments.

Lost Ark is the most exciting new MMORPG of 2022

What is Lost Ark anyway? Lost Ark is a Free2Play MMORPG in the Iso perspective. You control your character with the mouse and have different abilities that you can use. Visually and from the combat system, the game is reminiscent of Diablo, but otherwise it mainly offers MMO content such as dungeons, raids, housing, an auction house and PvP.
