“ANFA adds + Sport – Violence”. This is the name of the project awarded to the Chillán Amateur Football Association, financed by the Regional Government of Ñuble, through which the entity that governs the destinies of Chillán football will dictate a training course for the referees of the local competition.

“We want to promote the topic of refereeing so that they acquire knowledge of the regulations and thus have a better performance on the field of play. The course taught by a professional referee will cover 85 hours. The launch will be this Friday at 8:00 p.m., at ANFA Chillán and there are 55 registered,” details the president of ANFA Chillán, Carlos San Martín.

The initiative will also have the contribution of psychologists, who through different classes and workshops, will provide various tools to the judges so that they can function in various circumstances of a match, especially those of greater tension or emotional complexity.

In recent seasons, amateur soccer refereeing has been the target of criticism, but judges have also suffered attacks and threats.

Banishing these attacks and having increasingly trained referees will be the mission of this course that will be launched this Friday at the ANFA Chillán headquarters.
