Looping carousel “Infinity” turns again

To ensure safety, two rides at Pützchens Markt in Beuel were shut down at the weekend. “Infinity” and “Aeronaut” were affected.

Two rides at Pützchens Markt were canceled at the weekend: the “Infinity” looping carousel, one of the highlights among adrenaline junkies, and the “Aeronaut” chain carousel, which transports its passengers to a height of 80 meters and is making its debut at Pützchens Markt.

“Infinity” was already canceled on Saturday evening. The ride has been back in operation since Monday afternoon. As an employee of the Hoefnagels company informed the GA, a hydraulic cylinder on the podium was defective there. The affected part was replaced on Monday. The repair was time-consuming, among other things, because the spare part had to be delivered from the Netherlands.

The “Aeronaut” failed on Sunday evening during operation. For some passengers, this meant that they were stuck in the carousel for around 20 minutes, but were then lowered again. A mechanism had struck to ensure safety. As soon as this happens, the rides are automatically shut down. Today, Monday, the “Aeronaut” could be put into operation again as usual.
