The actress, who began her career 33 years ago, points out that, although social ideologies regarding love have evolved, it would still be difficult for her to get used to the idea of Nicolás falling in love with an older woman.
“It would be very strange because I don’t see myself with someone 20 years older either, not at this moment, ask me at 60 and someone who is 40 might catch my attention more,” says Paleta, laughing.

“I think we all have that taboo and in Mexico it is still not very socially accepted to see an older woman with a younger man, as it happens with older men who hang out with a younger woman,” highlights the actress.
This reflection is made within the plot of his film “Do you want to be my son?”, where he shares credits with John’s Zuritawho makes his film debut with this film, now available on ViX.
Zurita, 27 years old, highlights that, for new generations, it is much more feasible to see couples with a significant age difference, which is no longer a factor to consider in love.
“If age were a parameter I probably wouldn’t have decided to do everything I’ve done when I was younger. I would like to think that it is something that is changing and it would be great if the license is to fall in love however you want,” says Zurita.
The film follows Lu (Paleta), a woman who feels she lost everything when her 15-year relationship ends and there, in the midst of the pain of having been deceived, she encounters uncertainty about her own power and fear. to resume the dreams he had abandoned. It is then that a circumstance of hers puts her on the verge of a new discovery.
Completing the cast are actors such as Harold Azuara, Hernán Mendoza and Yuriria del Valle. For the actress, this is an opportunity to explore acting in a character for which she had to wait 33 years of her career.
“Right now I am at that moment where I could get involved with a boy much younger than me and I liked that it is a story that is not very predictable in many ways,” adds Paleta.
