The cantonment program of the M23 forces, within the process of pacification of the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo, was on the table of the meeting that the president of the DRC, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, held with his counterpart João Lourenço, this Wednesday fair, 12th, in Cidade Alta.
It should be recalled that on the 7th, the two statesmen spoke by telephone about the cantonment of the members of the M23, “according to the understandings reached within the framework of the mediation exercised by the President of the Republic of Angola”.

It should be recalled that the National Assembly recently approved the sending to the Democratic Republic of Congo of a unit from the Support Contingent for Peacekeeping Operations of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), within the framework of the peace and security process in the DRC.
