Madbouly indicated that this equation is affected by the rise and fall in Brent crude, and the exchange rate of the pound against the dollar, compared to the previous time period, the previous fiscal quarter, adding that the decisions that are taken to move the prices of petroleum products; Rather, it comes with the aim of preserving the country’s oil wealth, and spare the state budget more burdens, enabling it to face global inflation pressures.
The Prime Minister indicated that, according to the studies conducted by the committee over the previous periods; The prices of all types of gasoline have been moved; In line with changes in Brent crude prices, the exchange rate of the pound against the dollar, and fixing the price of the diesel product, and not moving it, taking into account the social dimension, and the economic conditions imposed by the Corona pandemic, on all aspects of life and various economic activities.
