Malayalam cinema should be raised to world class standards by improving technical facilities: Minister Saji Cherian


Minister of Culture Saji Cherian has said that Malayalam cinema should be improved to the world standard by improving the technical facilities in the field of film production. He added that the modern facilities available and the conducive environment will make Chitranjali Studio a great shooting location. The minister was speaking at the Cine Expo organized by the State Film Development Corporation.

The minister said that a special campaign will be launched to spread the natural beauty of Kerala beyond Malayalam cinema. Locations in Kerala should also be reflected in other language films. The process of building more modern theaters will be streamlined. The minister said that the construction of the government-controlled OTT platform is in its final stage.

Cine Expo held at Sathyan Smriti Hall, Thiruvananthapuram K. SFDC Chairman Shaji N Karun inaugurated the event. 13 companies such as Ari, Sony, Sigma, Zeiss, Apputure and Disguise, famous film production equipment companies in the audio visual field participated in the expo to showcase the technical systems related to film production. The expo was organized as a part of buying better equipment for Chitranjali Studios.
