Cherupuzha: A youth has been arrested in a pox case for molesting a minor girl. Jitin Raj (23) was arrested in Kochuchura. The incident took place last January. The child reported the abuse to the mother and the mother brought the matter to the attention of the class teacher. He then lodged a complaint with the Cherupuzha police.
The young man, who was working in a butcher shop in Meentully, went into hiding when he came to know regarding it. Subsequently, a police team led by Cherupuzha SI MP Shaji nabbed the accused. The accused, who was produced in court, was remanded.
