A man died this past holiday after a dispute over a Tesla fast charger. The case took place on May 1 on the outskirts of the city of Denver, in the United States.

According to local police, it all started when the two men parked at a large Denver supermarket. Upon noticing that the Tesla charging station was full, the victim parked next to the only charger available when she was questioned by a 38-year-old man who was already there.

In the middle of the discussion, the two got into a body fight and the fatality happened, since both were armed.

The victim did not have his name revealed, but he was rescued alive and died in the hospital. The author of the two shots called 911 – equivalent to 190 in Brazil – to report what happened.

However, he escaped from the scene and was later arrested by the Jefferson County Police. Deputy Bob Brink confirmed that the men did not know each other and that the fight escalated very quickly.

This is because one of the parties owned the vehicle, while the other had rented it. Brink also said that this may have been the trigger for the fight, since the owner of the vehicle claimed to have priority.

holiday disorders

With the incident reverberating in the US media, many Tesla vehicle owners took to social media to complain about the disruptions during the May 1 holiday.

This is because the number of chargers is insufficient for the fleet that has circulated in the country’s cities. In some cases, it is necessary to wait more than two hours to gain access to a branded fast charger.

Many have reported forming real jams to gain access to an automaker charger. For now, Tesla has not responded to customer complaints.
