Oris is a watchmaker specializing in pilots’ watches since the 1940s. And among the models essential to aviators, the GMT versions which allow the display of two times (in full hours) on a single dial.
This is the case of this new Oris ProPilot GMT where the second time zone is indicated by a central hand with a red pointer.
As for the pulsometer scale which is on the bezel, it allows you to measure the heart rate and is inspired by the relationships that Oris maintains with some of the aero-medical organizations.
The case of this watch is 41.5 mm. Made of steel, it sports a matte gray PVD-plated finish which helps to attenuate the reflections of the sun and reverberations in the cockpit, while the hands and applied indexes stand out against the very contrasting gradient red dial. The whole thing is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside.
This watch is powered by a mechanical self-winding movement with a standard power reserve of 42 hours (visible through the transparent back).
It is mounted on a black textile strap lined with red leather and equipped with Oris’ patented “Lift” clasp, inspired by airliner seat belts.
