The drunk man followed the woman from a subway station and did not respond to the pursuer’s requests to move away. That’s why the 37-year-old felt threatened and went to the Tannengasse police station. The Afghan followed her in there too and then became aggressive.
Police arrested the man around 11:30 p.m. and took him to the inspection detention area. There the 32-year-old attacked an officer and bit his arm. There was no open wound due to the protection of the clothing, but the bite was so severe that the injured man had to be treated in a hospital and was unable to continue his duties.
1.4 Promille Alcohol
An alcohol test was carried out on the Afghan, who was apparently drunk according to the police, and the blood alcohol level was found to be around 1.4 per mille. The man claimed that he was lost and that’s why he approached the woman. He is at least charged with aggressive behavior, making noise, resisting state authority and serious bodily harm. A more detailed interrogation of the woman being pursued was still pending.
