In an interview with Grihalakshmi, Saiju Kurup talks about some of the efforts he made for the film Saturday Night and about Siju Wilson who gave him confidence when he was afraid to dance.
‘I am generally backward when it comes to performing dance scenes in films. I doubt if I can do it. By the time the dance scenes arrive, there will be a nervousness coming out of nowhere. If someone who knows dance looks at the steps during rehearsals, the whole thing gets tense.
After knowing that there is a dance scene in the movie Saturday Night, I became tense. Doubt that it will be a lost game. I shared my Adhi with Siju several times during the night. In fact, Siju’s confidence gave me courage that day.
If there’s a naturalness to my steps today and a not-so-bad jitter, full credit goes to Siju. The courage given by joining together was so great. That was the time when I realized how much a friend can encourage us. Siju Wilson is a mother from my heart,’ said Saiju.
Saiju said that people realize who and what they really are when they join some gang.
