Marc, 52, loses his life, run over by a truck

Real chaos on the E42 highway, this Tuesday afternoon. A chain collision involving three trucks, a van and a car paralyzed the highway for the whole day but above all left one dead, Marc Wijns, and one seriously injured.

The images are chilling. On several tens of meters, on the E42 motorway at the height of Heppignies in the direction of Mons, torn, compressed, twisted, destroyed sheet metal.

Three immobilized trucks, including one scissoring through the traffic lanes. A crushed van. A wrecked car. And a wasted life.
