Marianna Stamatiadou, the oldest member of the Board of the Municipal Regional Theater and also the president of the “Friends of the Patras DIPETHE” Association, denounces strange tactics and policies at the DIPETHE Patras. The occasion was the last meeting of the Board of Directors during which several issues were discussed, but she also raised an issue that caught her attention.
Specifically, as he notes speaking to pelop.gr, last wednesday an invitation for the position of DIPETHE’s legal advisor was “uploaded” on the internet, but it was taken down following just 2 hours! Only one person applied and eventually got the position. The specific issue was raised by Mrs. Stamatiadou during the last meeting of the Board of Directors, addressing the new president of the board Lydia Karathanasopoulou. In fact, the goal was, as noted by Mrs. Stamatiadou, to hire a person of his own choice, who would obviously know regarding the process and that it would only take two hours. In fact, during the meeting, Mrs. Karathanasopoulou mentioned that the new legal advisor of DIPETHE has been her partner at KEDIP.

That was where infuriated Mrs. Stamatiadou, which characteristically said that these are unacceptable things that “were not even done during the junta”. THE REMAINING ISSUES OF THE MEETING
One of the issues discussed during the meeting was its budget new production of the Chariot of Thespids entitled “The Exindavelonis”, an issue for which Mrs. Stamatiadou voted blank and explains to pelop.gr that her move was made for no other reason than the fact that the Board of Directors did not have no update on production but found before the fact simply voting on the budget. In fact, when he raised the specific issue, the answer he got from the president was that they were “in a hurry” with Marianna Stamatiadou characteristically telling us: “as if anyone would vote negatively for the new production of Thespidus’ Chariot!”.

An additional issue raised by Marianna Stamatiadou is her own announcement of the position of the new Artistic Director of DIPETHE Patrasposition that has been… orphaned for some time now with no updates.
As Ms. Stamatiadou points out, the announcement should be made quickly, otherwise DIPETHE Patras will not have a summer production to present for another year, while if there is a longer delay he predicts that there will be no winter production either! Concluding, he emphasized that essentially what exists in Patras is a general lack of culture.
