"Massive FREE Concert in Nature: Join the Culture and Sport Fusion at Bois de Vincennes"

The region is organizing a huge FREE concert at the Bois de Vincennes. Organized hand in hand with the We Love Green festival, this concert will combine culture and sport. Four “renowned” artists will take part in the event. Vivre Paris unveils the program poster.

It is an appointment not to be missed. On June 1, as summer approaches, the Île-de-France region invites Ile-de-France residents to an evening of madness: a concert on the grounds of the We Love Green festival, in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes. On the program, soul, pop and rap.

Four “renowned” artists

The region invites four “renowned” artists: Selah Sue, Soolking, Bilal Hassani and Aime Simone. From 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., they will set fire to a large stage set up in the heart of nature. To participate, nothing could be simpler, just register on the website of the Île-de-France region (to be found here). Please note, you have until midnight tonight to register (May 22, 2023). Of course, registration is subject to availability.

In addition to the stage performances of the artists, several sporting highlights will punctuate the evening. Because the event takes place during the Cultural Olympiad. This major event has taken place on an ad hoc basis since the summer of 2022. The objective is to combine sport and culture during numerous events.

Combine sport and culture

Because sport and culture “have many things in common: performance, emotions, the search for the beauty of the gesture” notes Tony Estanguet, president of the Paris 2024 committee. For him the Cultural Olympiad, “it’s opportunity to show everything that brings us together. This is an opportunity to celebrate this proximity of values, meaning and diversity that sport and culture have in common”.

Thus, demonstrations and initiations to BMX and skateboarding will take place. The public will also be able to admire breakdance shows performed by French and international medal-winning dancers.
