A commemorative ceremony was held on the 30th before the Ibusuki Skyline Yamada Interchange in Kagoshima City became a full interchange from April 1st.

(Announcer Iwasaki) “Until now, the Yamada Interchange was only available for getting on and off the Kagoshima Interchange, but a new tollhouse will be set up, and it will be possible to get on and off the Taniyama Interchange, making it a full interchange.”

Until now, the Yamada Interchange has been able to get on and off the up and down lines in the direction of Kagoshima Interchange, but from April 1st, it will be possible to get on and off the up and down lines in the direction of Taniyama Interchange, making it a full interchange.

A commemorative ceremony was held on the 30th before the full-interchange, and the people concerned started running to celebrate the completion.

The purpose of full-interchange is to eliminate traffic congestion from the surrounding residential areas to Taniyama during rush hours, and the prefectural road corporation has set up a new Yamada No. 2 tollhouse, which will cost 6,250 million yen. The travel time from around the Yamada Interchange to the Nakayama Interchange, which used to take up to about 30 minutes, will be reduced to about 2 minutes with the full interchange.

(Managing Director, Masayuki Ishizaka, Prefectural Road Corporation) “We expect that the opening of the Yamada No. 2 Tollhouse will allow us to read the time in a short time for commuting and socio-economic activities and promote its use.”

Full-interchange will be available at midnight on April 1st, and the toll between Yamada Interchange and Nakayama Interchange will be 100 yen for regular cars and 90 yen for ETC, and 50 yen for light cars and 40 yen for ETC.
