McLaren F1 released a teaser image of the 2022 F1 machine “MCL36”. It is presumed to adopt a pull rod type front suspension with some features.

In 2022, the F1 regulations will change drastically, and the basic design of F1 cars will shift from an aerodynamic-dependent philosophy to a grand effect car in order to produce close races.

By adopting a completely different concept, the 2022 F1 car will change drastically including the dimensions of the car body.

McLaren F1 released a teaser image of the 2022 F1 machine “MCL36”. Although only part of the car is shown, you can see the slim roll hoops, side pods with low inlets, and slanted nose.

From future factors, it is already speculated that the McLaren MCL36 will adopt a pull rod type front suspension.

Similarly, the Ferrari F1 is rumored to combine a pull-rod front suspension with an aggressively shaped nose, and the 2022 machine is likely to be a pull-rod trend.

Andreas Seidl, McLaren F1 team representative, said he was happy with the new regulations for McLaren’s new MCL36.

“From my point of view, I’m very happy with the development I’m looking at right now. The machine is ready for development,” said Andreas Seidl.

“We are really making progress every week in the wind tunnel. We don’t know how much it will ultimately be worth until the first qualifying session in Bahrain.”

“The most important thing for me is that the development of this machine is a step forward again compared to recent developments.”
