As part of the new Steyr parish, the Citypastoral offer will also be presented in more detail: Citypastoral has been available in this form since 2020. Citypastoral stands for spirituality, pastoral care, networking and enthusiasm. This is also expressed in the slogan that was developed: “Inspired – together – enthusiastic”. “We are always developing new projects in our beautiful city,” says Heidi Staltner-Kix, who supports and promotes Citypastoral in Steyr.
“We are part of the Catholic Church, open the doors of the churches wide and also provide services in other places,” explains Staltner-Kix, explaining what is behind City Pastoral. The regular meditation offer in the sacristy of St. Mary’s Church, in cooperation with the Dominican House, is low-threshold and open: “Meditative time out. Time for you” – with elements from Taizé, meditation and impulses through texts and philosophical/theological works by women.
Around Valentine’s Day, Staltner-Kix and her team of volunteers organized blessing celebrations for couples at various locations in the city.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a blessing ceremony for women will be held in St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, March 13th at 6:15 p.m. with meditation, dance and agape. Further events and, above all, blessing celebrations for men are being planned.
