The road police ordinance required for the new meeting zone and thus a 20 km/h speed limit has already been signed and the necessary marking work has already been carried out. The newly marked zones in the Domgasse (the lane has been crossed in part) are to be social and communicative places in the future (keyword guest gardens and quiet zones). In a next step, seating furniture and mobile green are to follow the markings.
As reported, the transformation process of the meeting zone happened in cooperation with the University of Art and Design Linz. The redesign to increase the quality of life and stay is to be carried out in stages and with the involvement of residents and tradespeople.

On the part of the city green department, the trees of the future from a tree exhibition that could be seen in the Botanical Garden last year would be made available for Domgasse. This presents tree species that have a future in the city despite climate change and is to be set up in the coming weeks.
The restaurateurs will also set up their guest gardens in the next few days, and benches will also be set up in Domgasse. On Friday, April 28, celebrations are on the agenda with the Domgassenfest, and events are also planned for Saturday.

At the end of June, the first results from the art university course are to be presented.
