On this occasion, the Leopoldschlag parish is remembering its most famous community citizen tomorrow, Thursday. The celebration begins with a memorial service in the parish church (6 p.m.). Afterwards, Franz Rohrhofer and Helmut Wagner will present their book “A Bishop for the World”.
Former mayor Alois Böhm, who knew Alois Wagner personally, wrote an article for this book. He clearly remembers many a service in which the bishop embarrassed the altar boys with his questions. Other contemporary witnesses, employees and family members also remember the great Upper Austrian and “Bishop for the World” in the book.
