Merger. A quarter of a century ago, on September 12, 1997, when the General Council of Cudrefin gave its Municipality a mandate to discuss the merger with its neighbor Champmartin, the inhabitants of the northernmost municipality of the canton of Vaud put this word back to the cantonal agenda. For almost thirty years and the union between Romainmôtier and Envy, no merger had taken place in the Pays de Vaud. This first then launched a movement that seems to be a little withered.
