“It is noon, nearly 10,000 people have not yet been able to return,” said one of the organizers. The day is monster, the circuit of Magny-Cours, full of people, this Sunday, June 4, for the first edition of the Merguez Tuning Show, an event around the automobile organized by the Youtube channel Vilebrequin. “It’s been a long time since we had the circuit so full,” reports François Karinthi of the Departmental Council.
To access the circuit, some got up early, some were even there the day before and slept in one of the car parks. The event began at 8:30 a.m. However, at noon, nearly 10,000 people were still trying to return.
Several kilometers of traffic
If the path to the circuit was marked, many participants got lost on the small roads around Magny-Cours, creating huge traffic jams of several kilometers.
“We manage to register 15,000 people per hour at the pedestrian entrances”. In an hour or two everyone should be there with the aim of seeing the 1,300 horsepower Multipla, which has already done a few laps.
