Meteorology spokesman answers • Al-Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: The official spokesman for the National Center of Meteorology, Hussain Al-Qahtani, revealed the accuracy of the weather monitoring applications found in smart phones.

Al-Qahtani said, during a telephone interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel: “These applications derive their information from information issued by official bodies concerned with global weather or international organizations concerned with this aspect.”

He pointed out: “You must refer to the information issued by the country itself or the monitoring agencies in the country.”

And he continued: “This information is 85% of it estimated and cannot be taken into account,” explaining: “The National Center of Meteorology does not issue a prior amount of rain because it usually may not be logical.”
