With a small exclamation mark, CBS wants to bring viewers to itself and to its “Navy CIS” series at the start of the season on September 19: A crossover connects the parent series “Navy CIS” with the start of the 20th season and the second season of “Navy CIS: Hawaii”.

Since the end of season 19, Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) has been confronted with an unnamed threat from his own past. He went into hiding with his ex-wife, Special Agent Vivian (Teri Polo).
Season opener on “Navy CIS” – “A Family Matter”
Parker’s team tries to find out which person from the federal agent’s past is trying to discredit him in order to get revenge on him. His subordinates receive support from fellow Special Agent Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and computer specialist Ernie Malick (Jason Antoon) from Hawaii: They are preparing for a major naval maneuver with director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) in Washington. Since the threat is posed by a hacker, Ernie’s special skills are important.

Navy CIS: Hawaii season opener – Prisoners’ Dilemma
The trace of The Raven more precisely leads to the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Tennant and her team are leading the investigation there, along with Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) from Washington. It becomes clear that the opponent isn’t only after Parker, but also the aforementioned maneuver – RIMPAC (The Rim of the Pacific Exercises), the largest international simulation game for naval warfare.
The episode of Navy CIS: Hawaii also makes guest appearances from Gary Cole, Brian Dietzen, and Diona Reasonover.
