Haas F1 Team Mick Schumacher set the second fastest overall time in an additional two-hour session on the final day of the third day of the F1 Bahrain test. He was confident that “we have a good car.”
Termination of title sponsor contract due to Russian situation, driver change. And it was a busy few weeks for the Haas F1 Team, including delayed arrival of cargo in Bahrain.
As a remedy for the force majeure loss of the morning session on the first day, the Haas F1 Team was allowed an additional four hours of driving, and after the last day’s session, Mick Schumacher ran for two hours and more. Although it was in a cool condition, he set the second fastest time overall.
“In summary, we couldn’t drive as much as we clearly wanted,” recalls Mick Schumacher.
“It’s important if we’re fast and if it’s positive. We’re positive.”
“We have a good car and we have something to work with. I think everyone is really happy and proud of what we have achieved.”
“From now on we have to show it on the course when it matters. It’s next week. I’m really looking forward to what happens this year.”
