Fashion historian and fashion journalist Olga Mikhailovskaya spoke about the unforgettable experience of collaborating with actress Milla Jovovich. The Hollywood diva and her mother, Galina Loginova, created “hell” on the set.

Olga Mikhailovskaya photographed Milla Jovovich for the cover of the first issue of the Russian edition of InStyle. The venue was organized in Los Angeles, at the legendary Chateau Marmont hotel. Few outfits were allocated for Milla – global brands were reluctant to collaborate with Russians. As a result, they found clothes for Jovovich from Oscar de la Renta, Versace, Chloe, Nina Donis and several other famous fashion houses.

Milla Jovovich appeared on set in an extremely bad mood. According to Mikhailovskaya, as it later turned out, this condition was typical for the Hollywood diva. The star of “The Fifth Element” was accompanied by a whole retinue – her mother Galina Loginova, agents, assistants and some other strange people. Jovovich was not ready for the shoot; her nail polish was chewed off.

“She jumped up to the rail with things that the photographer and I had previously discussed in detail and scattered at the shooting points and began throwing them furiously into the corners, shouting curses at InStyle magazine, Russia, me personally and all the designers whose logos she managed to see in heat of controversy. For some reason, she separately yelled about the NinaDonis dress that she wouldn’t wear it because her siskies would be visible in it,” Olga Mikhailovskaya said about the scandal.

While the photographer and journalist were recovering from shock, Jovovich’s assistant explained that Milla had launched a clothing brand and wanted to star in her own clothes. At the negotiation stage, the actress’s desire to promote her line of outfits was not discussed, so what happened infuriated the Russian woman. Mikhailovskaya understood that the cover with clothes from Jovovich was a commercial failure.

“While Milla was rushing around the three-room apartment, her mother followed me, saying, “Darling will never wear all THIS!” – Olga Mikhailovskaya recalled.

Photographer Kenneth Willard was able to find a way out of the situation. The man had filmed Milla many times and knew how to deceive her. Jovovich was persuaded to dilute the outfits of her new brand with clothes from famous fashion designers.

The journalist also said that she was shocked by Milla Jovovich’s ability to work in front of the camera. When filming began, the actress instantly transformed. Red with anger, finding herself in front of the photographer, Jovovich “turned into a radiant beauty with a fantastic and not even fake smile.”
