Minnesota Timberwolves in talks with Tim Connelly

The Minnesota Timberwolves have obtained permission from the Denver Nuggets to formally meet with Tim Connelly, current president of operations for the Colorado franchise.

The Minneapolis team has offered Connelly to take over the team’s operations, although at the moment both parties have not reached any agreement and it seems that it will go a long way, according to media sources. The Athletic.

Connelly, a native of Baltimore, came to the Nuggets in 2013 after previously spending three seasons in the offices of the defunct New Orleans Hornets. Among his many operations, the transfer of Aaron Gordon from the Orlando Magic or the recent renewal of the young Michael Porter Jr. for the maximum salary allowed, that is, 207 million dollars spread over five seasons, stand out.

Despite the meeting with Connelly, the current vice president of operations, Sachin Gupta, also has great players to take charge of the T-Wolves from next year. It should be remembered that this year they have managed to return to the playoffs, being seventh in the West with a record of 46-36, and losing in the first round against the Memphis Grizzlies 4-2.
