"Mosaik" is an additional location for car sharing with electric cars

A new “eVA Carsharing” location was opened at “Mosaik”. At the emergency shelter, this replaces a company vehicle, and at “Jugend am Werk” there are trips in private cars, which will no longer be necessary in the future. In total, around 20,000 kilometers a year will be driven with green electricity instead of petrol or diesel. This corresponds to a CO2 saving of 3.5 tons.

The association eVA-Carsharing was founded in 2018 and has been represented with one e-car each in Ungenach and Vöcklabruck since the beginning. A car was added in Schwanenstadt in October 2020 and a fourth in Vöcklabruck this year in April. Further locations are planned. 90 people are currently using e-car sharing. So far they have covered more than 81,000 kilometers without emissions.

As the first facility to help the homeless, “Mosaik” recently became part of the climate alliance. The new building was built in wood with high energy standards. “The Mosaic in Vöcklabruck is already a climate protection model and is dedicated to sustainability in all areas,” says Environment and Climate Councilor Stefan Kaineder enthusiastically. “Social action must always be ecological,” emphasizes Mosaic Director Stefan Hindinger. “And ecological measures must also be social.”
