Jose Mourinho, coach of Roma, confirmed that he does not know when the curtain will come to an end in his coaching career, in light of his aspiration to win another European title.
Mourinho, 59, ascended his team, Roma, to the final of the European Conference League, where he will face the Dutch Feyenoord tomorrow, Wednesday, in Tirana.
Mourinho talked about the meeting he had with Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary coach of Manchester United, when the latter was called to his office at Old Trafford, before Manchester faced Real Madrid in the Champions League in 2013, when Mourinho was coaching the royal club.
Mourinho told the UEFA website today, Tuesday: I asked him, How is it going? Does it change? Does it change over the years? And he told me: Don’t think about it, nothing changes, the situation remains the same until the last day.
He added, “That’s why I kept saying that I can’t believe I’m 59, I can’t believe it’s been 21 or 22 years as coach.
He noted: I can’t say when I’m going to stop because I can’t imagine it, the passion doesn’t change.
Mourinho crowned the European Cup and then the European Champions League with Porto, and repeated the same achievement with Inter Milan, and crowned the European League with Manchester United, and thus is looking forward to winning the European Conference League title with Rome, becoming the fourth club with which he achieves continental achievements unlike what he achieved with Many clubs at the local level.
Mourinho said: “Does any new achievement mean more than the previous one?” Yeah.
He added, “Winning the first title may come by being in the right place at the right time, winning the second title is more difficult than the first title, and winning the third title is more difficult than the second.”
Mourinho concluded: “I haven’t won anything yet and I really want to win.”
