Musician Nick Cave (64) is going through difficult times. As he says in a statement released by British media, his son Jethro Lazenby has passed away. He was only 31 years old. Lazenby worked as a model. The cause of death is not known.
“It is with great sadness that I can confirm that my son Jethro has passed away,” the statement said. Cave continues: “We would be grateful for the privacy of the family at this time.”
He was imprisoned before death
As the British “Sun” reports, Jethro Lazenby was released on bail two days before his death. He had been there since April for assaulting his mother.
After his release, a judge ordered him to undergo drug rehabilitation and to avoid contact with his mother for two years. Now she will never be able to see him again.
Second heavy loss
Nick Cave is already losing his second son. On July 14, 2015, Arthur Cave († 15) fell from a cliff around 60 meters to his death near the English coastal town of Brighton. The autopsy revealed that the teenager was under the influence of the drug LSD before the accident.
Like his late son Jethro, Nick Cave started taking drugs at the age of 14 and was addicted to heroin for years. With Arthur’s mother Susie Bicks (47), the musician has another son, Earl (21), the twin brother of the late Arthur. Cave also has his son Luke (30) from a previous relationship. (fmu)
