NNA – The Estimates Department of the Meteorological Department of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected that the weather tomorrow will be partly cloudy with fog at the heights and a slight additional decrease in temperatures in the mountainous and interior regions while it settles on the coast, with light rain falling sporadically. The following bulletin stated:
– The general situation: Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean are affected by an air depression centered over Turkey and accompanied by relatively cold air masses, which leads to volatile and rainy weather and continues until Saturday noon, when it is relatively stable, and then affected, as of Monday afternoon, by another depression centered between Libya Egypt and the average effectiveness. The average temperature for the month of January is from 11 0 to 19 0 Celsius.
The expected weather in Lebanon: Today is partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with heavy fog at times on the heights and a decrease in temperatures, especially on the coast, while it rises slightly inland and on the heights. Its speed reaches 50 km / h, and snow falls at an altitude of 1,800 meters or less in the north of the country during the night.
Saturday: Partly cloudy with fog on the heights and a slight additional decrease in temperatures in the mountainous and internal areas while it settles on the coast. Light rain falls occasionally, especially in the northern and southern regions during the day, with some snow at an altitude of 1,700 meters and above. The weather settles in the evening and turns into Partly cloudy with a warning of snow formation on mountain roads over 2,200 metres.
Sunday: cloudy to partly cloudy with a slight rise in temperatures and local fog at higher elevations. Sporadic drizzle is expected in the northern and interior regions during the morning and evening periods, as winds sometimes activate in the north of the country.
Monday: Partly cloudy with a slight decrease in temperatures and fog forming on the heights, gradually turning cloudy in the afternoon and sporadic rain falling sometimes, especially in the interior and southern regions.
Expected temperatures: on the coast from 12 to 19 degrees, above the mountains from 4 to 13 degrees, indoors from 7 to 14 degrees.
Surface winds: southwesterly, active at times, especially in the north of the country, with speeds between 15 and 45 km/h.
– Sweeping: Medium on the coast, worse at heights due to fog.
– Relative humidity on the coast: between 65 and 85%.
– Sea condition: waves to medium to rough at times. Water surface temperature: 20°C.
