A video has gone viral on TikTok in which a woman describes her bewilderment when her neighbor painted her own side of the fence without worrying about the result on her side.
The fence separating the two yards was only 18 months old, explained the TikToker, who had no intention of painting it.

However, when his neighbor painted his side of the fence, numerous paint runs appeared on his side, as well as paint accumulations towards the bottom.
The TikToker explains that she first wanted to confront her neighbor, but then wondered whether she had the right to do so.
“The neighbors painted their fence… but look at the state of ours!!!”, we can read in the video, immediately followed by: “Would you say something!?”

Since it was posted, the video has been viewed 90,000 times and received hundreds of likes.
Exasperated Internet users assured that they would take revenge, but others instead came to the neighbor’s defense.
“I would paint it brown and do the same thing on their side.”
“There’s only one thing to do… paint your side a bright color.”
“It’s their fence given the way it’s oriented. They can do whatever they want. I suggest you paint your side with the same paint.
“Personally, I would just ask them what paint they used so I can match it. Life is too short to fight for things like that.”
