An impressive start for the NEP children at the “2nd Acropolis Junior 2024” held at the OAKA indoor swimming pool on 5/11-12. It is a very strong event of the Pre-Competition categories (K10-K11-K12) with very good entries and great competition and certainly the presence on the podium and a good appearance mean a lot!
This morning we had 4 medals (2 in the individual events and 2 in the team) and quite good performances from all the children. The medals in the individual events were taken by: Markos Papadopoulos (K12) bronze in the 100m. backstroke with 01:14.99 and Dimitra Constantatou (K12) also bronze in the same event with 01:16.57. In the team events we had the 1st place and gold medal from the 4X50 freestyle mixed (K12) consisting of Andreas Kotsavitis, Markos Papadopoulos, Vasiliki Zafiropoulou and Dimitra Konstadatou with a time of 02:01.02 (among 21 teams) and the 3rd place and bronze medal from the 4X50 mixed freestyle (K10) consisting of Pavlos Datseris, Giorgos Evaggelatos, Danai Kolias, Anna Vassiliki Kantzaris with a time of 02:25.89. Also, we had 4th place in the 100m. backstroke by Vikentia Tsagri (K11), 5th place in the 200m breaststroke by Panagiotis Katsis (K12) and very good performances from all the NEP children who competed this morning.
