The financial app Nequi threw the tool, ‘data preview’, which will allow users to verify if they are sending the money to the correct person.

In this new function, the platform shows “the partially encrypted or masked name of the recipient”, so that the user checks if he is making the transfer to the correct bank account.
“This will help people confirm that the Nequi number data matches the person to whom the money will be sent,” the company said in a statement.

It is worth noting that in order to activate this tool, Nequi customers must update the applicationbecause the new function is part of the latest version.
Additionally, users can create a custom QR code with your bank information, so that the person who wants to send the money scans it and does not have to type the account number.
