Thallumala, which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year in Mollywood, has been generating huge buzz even after its OTT release. Thallumala was released on Netflix in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. The first controversy was when the crew changed the subtitle given for the film. The makers of Thallumala’s subtitles had come forward the other day against Netflix stating that the subtitles had been changed without their knowledge or consent.

But now the controversy is that the beef has been completely cut from the Kannada version of Thallumala. From the first scenes of the film, beef enters into the dialogues in many parts. In one scene, beef is talked about for a long time. However, the beef was completely removed from the dialogue and subtitles in such scenes. Mutton and curry are used instead.

Movie buffs have come forward on social media against Netflix, which has a history of cutting beef from movies and the like. Some have also shared scenes from the Kannada version of Thallumala. The audience says that Netflix is doing such degrading work out of fear of gangs.
