An alleged Apple release calendar began circulating on the internet, bringing new details about the arrival dates of new Mac notebooks with an M4 processor and features based on artificial intelligence.
A Bloomberg journalist had already commented on the devices a few days ago, and has now brought new details.

Apple will upgrade its entire Mac lineup to the M4 processor, starting in late 2024 and concluding with the Mac Pro in the second half of 2025.
Following reports that Apple is planning an M4 processor with AI capabilities for the Mac, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed an expected launch schedule for the entire lineup. In the latest edition of the “Power On” newsletter, the journalist says that the transition, unsurprisingly, will begin with the MacBook Pro.
According to Gurman, the plan is for these Macs to be upgraded to M4 around the end of the year:
- Low-cost 14-inch MacBook Pro
- 24-inch iMac
Then, between late 2024 and sometime in early 2025, the list grows to include:
- New high-end 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro/Max processor
- Mac mini versions M4 and M4 Pro
After that, Gurman says that from the second half of the year to the end of 2025, Apple will complete the entire lineup switch to M4 in this sequence:
- New 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models
- Mac Studio with latest generation M4
- Mac Pro com M4 Ultra
The fact that Apple is planning an M4 processor isn’t a huge surprise, nor is it that there will be at least some focus on AI support. However, this calendar is the first indication that, for the first time, no Mac will be left out of updates.
Since the Mac Pro fell considerably behind the rest of the lineup in switching to Apple Silicon, it skipped the original M1 processor. Apple has since decided not to produce an M2 version of the 24-inch iMac.
Consequently, this is the first time since the launch of Apple Silicon that every Mac in the lineup has received the same latest processor.
