Audi India has officially commenced pre-launch bookings for the third-generation Audi Q3, signaling the imminent arrival of its entry-level luxury SUV just in time for the upcoming festive season. Prospective buyers can now secure an allocation by putting down a token amount of Rs 1 lakh, with full market pricing slated to be revealed next month.
The Battleground for Entry-Level Luxury
Once deliveries begin, the vehicle will step directly into the ring against formidable segment rivals like the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Mechanical Heart and Quattro Capability
Underneath its sharply chiseled hood, the India-spec Q3 stays true to proven engineering. Audi India has confirmed that the vehicle relies on a familiar 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. This powerplant churns out 204 PS (or 204hp) and 320 Nm of torque. Power flows to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission mated to Audi’s signature quattro all-wheel-drive system. Performance figures show the SUV blasts from a standstill to 100 kph in just 7.1 seconds before topping out at 229 kph.

Exterior Evolution and Cabin Space
Dimensionally, the third-generation architecture grows larger than its predecessor across every metric. It measures 4,531mm in length, 1,859mm in width, and 1,623mm in height, resting on a 2,681mm wheelbase. Up front, a wider Singleframe grille flanked by split LED headlamps sets a bold tone, while the classic Four Rings logo adopts a modern 2D appearance devoid of chrome surrounds. The rear profile showcases split LED tail-lamps bridged by a full-width light bar alongside an illuminated Audi logo. Inside, occupants are greeted by a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, an 11.9-inch digital driver’s instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a Sonos premium sound system, and a versatile 488-litre boot that expands to 1,386 litres.

What Comes Next for Luxury Buyers
With pre-launch momentum officially underway, attention now shifts to the official price reveal scheduled for next month. As the festive buying window approaches, luxury buyers have a clear pathway to secure the newest German compact offering on Indian shores. Are you tempted to reserve one of these refreshed crossovers, or will you wait to see how the finalized price tag stacks up against the competition?
