The country registers 13 cases of monkey pox confirmed until July 14, of which 12 had a history of travel prior to the onset of symptoms, it was reported this Sunday.
According to him National Epidemiological Bulletin (BEN) presented this Sunday by the Ministry of Healthrevamped version of Integrated Surveillance Bulletinthe median age of the cases of monkeypox is 34 years old, with a minimum of 26 and a maximum of 45.
All cases correspond to the sixth male, added the BEN.
According to the breakdown, the City of Buenos Aires registers five confirmed cases of monkeypox; the province of Buenos Aires, 4; Cordoba, 3; and Mendoza, 1.
While there are two suspected cases, one in CABA and the other in Córdoba, added the BEN.
Director of Epidemiology of the MinistryCarlos Giovacchini, stressed that the BEN “is the result of the process of systematic collection, analysis and dissemination of information that is carried out throughout the entire Argentine territory by more than 21,000 people who participate in the National Surveillance System of health”.
