Published in a series of tweets, the art offers iconic images from the game’s universe. A burning orange setting sun can be seen in the distance, and another image shows a Republic ship against a dark blue background. The Republic is home to the United Colonies in the game. Starfield is going to be Bethesda’s biggest game ever, and the concept art really showcases a diverse world with amazing scenery, ships, and characters. The images were presented as part of the celebration of World Space Week.
The Freestar Collective ship is presented in a western style reminiscent of a space western in the style of space operas from the 1970s and 80s. Earlier it became known that the capital of the Collective is called Akila. One frame shows the city of New Atlantis, and the other shows a mech located under a huge ship. Given the variety of depictions, Starfield’s story could expand on the themes common in sci-fi RPGs. The images strike an interesting balance between pop art posters and nostalgic memorabilia.
In the previously released artwork, the vast metropolitan areas of Ryujin Industries have a cyberpunk sheen, with high technology and vast cityscapes.
