What if the mechanic of tomorrow was the iPhone? It may sound crazy, but the new possibilities offered by iOS 17 allow you to analyze the error lights that appear on your dashboard.

The Visual Lookup function, which allows you to take a picture of something and get a whole lot of information about it, will be further improved, and will serve you as pocket mechanics! When you take a picture of your car’s dashboard, Visual Lookup will be able to analyze the warning symbols that appear and tell you what they correspond to.
It was users of the first beta of iOS 17 who discovered this totally crazy new function and mentioned it on Reddit. The functionality is so advanced that it can analyze several logos in the same image, and send you to a Safari link containing more information than the brief description provided by Visual Lookup.
Visual Lookup will also welcome other new features with iOS 17. By taking a picture of a dish, the iPhone will be able to offer you similar recipes. A video can finally be paused to look for a detail in an image and obtain information.
