New version of WhatsApp allows you to limit votes in polls

In mid-March, the WhatsApp was testing an edit in the resource of polls —released in November of last year — in order to allow voting to be limited to just one option. With version 23.8.78, the newest released by the app, the function has finally started to be released to all users.

This is another case where we wonder why the messenger didn’t implement this option before, given that it is quite obvious that the option to choose only one option in polls is something very useful. It would also be cool to have access to more advanced customizations, such as choosing how many options can be voted on, in addition to anonymous responses.

Anyway, it’s interesting that we finally have access to the news, which will certainly help in the process of creating polls and using their results. As we can see below — just like it was in the beta version — just activate the corresponding option when creating a poll to limit the number of options to be chosen by voters.

There are also two other novelties of the update described in the App Store. The first is the ability to write another caption on a forwarded media file following removing the original, while the second refers to the feature of creating personalized stickers from your photos.

Remember that the three changes may take a little longer to reach your device, so just wait!
