New Xbox controller includes dynamic backgrounds – Gamereactor

yesterday wereportA new Xbox controller called the Stellar Shift, which was leaked on social media and Amazon before it was actually revealed, will launch on Valentine’s Day.

We thought that was pretty much it (it’s just a new color for the controller after all, even though it looks nice), but it turns out it has another cool feature that we didn’t know about and didn’t leak. The Stellar Shift controller has a built-in Dynamic Background that can be unlocked by plugging in the controller.

If you ever changed the background to something else, but later want to bring it back, you will need to connect the Stellar Shift controller again, as in Xbox Wire as described in:

“To access this feature, double-click the Settings button on the main console dashboard. Under the General tab, click the Personalization button and find the My Background button. Once there, you’ll be able to see the animated background and can choose between this or a number of other fantastic animated skins to further customize your Xbox experience. Once you apply a background, you will keep it until you swap it for a new design. To restore this background, simply connect the stellar shift controller back to the console and navigate to the menu to reapply.

Check out Dynamic Background in the tweet below, along with four official images of the controller. It launched on February 14th.
