NFL invites two Austrians to International Combine

The National Football League (NFL) also invited two Austrians as part of their international talent screening. Linebacker Lucky Ogbevoen from the Raiders Tirol and offensive lineman Tobias Rodlauer, who was under contract with Berlin Thunder in the European League of Football (EFL) this year, were invited to the International Combine in London.

The trial with a total of 44 players will take place on October 3rd and 4th at Tottenham Stadium in London, where two NFL games will be played on the Sunday before and after, Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants walk the stage.

The International Combine is the precursor to the NFL’s International Pathway Program. Through this program, running back Sandro Platzgummer and last year tightend Bernhard Seikovits made it into the practice squads of the Giants and Arizona Cardinals in 2020. The Tyrolean and the Viennese are not in the squad this year due to their special status, but in the system of the two clubs.
