Houston initially seized momentum in the second set by doubling up TCU at 8-4. However, a service ace from Gibson sparked an immediate 5-0 scoring run that pushed the Horned Frogs ahead 16-10. Despite a late Cougar surge that narrowed the gap to 21-20, TCU slammed the door with four unanswered points, capped by a Rosemary Archer kill to take a 2-0 match lead.

Sealing the Sweep in Set Three

Carrying a two-set advantage into the third frame, TCU established early dominance behind Kelley and Hendrix. The front-row block took over quickly, establishing a 6-3 lead that the Frogs refused to surrender. Leading 16-13, TCU turned up the offensive pressure with another stuff block from McMillian and Gibson followed by consecutive kills from Hendrix. Gibson added a late service ace before Young secured the final two kills, sealing the 25-19 set win and completing the sweep.
