Noah Ohio after his big performance with Standard: “I knew my chance would come”

Standard won their duel against Westerlo on Saturday on the occasion of the 28th day of the Belgian championship. The Liégeois dominated, 2-0, the Campinois, with whom they shared 6th place. Only downside, Arnaud Bodart was excluded in stoppage time.

Here are the reactions collected at the microphone of Eleven at the end of this meeting:

Nacer Chadli: “We were overwhelmed in all areas today. We never knew how to put our foot on the ball and we paid for it. It’s the worst game of the season and Standard were very good ” They deserved their victory today. It was not a very nice game to play for my return to Liège since I didn’t touch the ball much. We will have to see game by game and see where we will arrive at the outcome of the classical phase.”

Noah Ohio: “We played our best game of the season today! From the first to the last minute, we developed very good football. The first goal is indeed a very nice collective action and I knew that Donnum would follow the action. There is instinct but these are repeated phases in training. On the second goal, I did not look to be honest. But I know that if I cross in the rectangle, there is to someone who will arrive! I knew that my chance would come and I have to do my best. It will not be easy in Bruges next week but we will have to show the same thing as today.”

Jonas De Roeck: “It was a difficult match for us. Standard put on more intensity and we made the wrong choices each time. And when we came back a little, they scored the first goal. The second Half time was better but it was a difficult day for us in all aspects. I don’t think the importance of the match played today. Coming to Sclessin was difficult and Standard played a big game. We never knew how to produce our game against the very physical game produced by our opponent. It was a day without but I remain very happy with the season we are having.”

Ronny Deila: “It’s the best game since I arrived! We did everything we had to do when we play at home. Total control of the ball with a lot of chances today and a solid performance defensively. The performance was very complete and that’s what we have to achieve most of the time.”
