BISMARCK — The North Dakota State Library is asking residents, library staff and state employees to take a survey about how to serve its patrons.

The government-run library based in Bismarck on the Capitol Grounds has posted the survey on its website. Those who wish to give feedback must do so by April 30, according to a release issued Friday, March 22.

“This survey, which includes North Dakota residents, library staff, and state employees, will provide valuable insights into how the State Library can best meet the evolving information and personal enrichment needs of the patrons and the communities that we serve,” State Librarian Mary Soucie said in a statement.

The State Library lists online surveys for three groups:

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
