Nutritionists from the Indervalle Sports Medicine Center, key to the high achievements of Valle Oro Puro

Santiago de Cali, August 10, Six nutrition professionals are part of the biomedical team of the Indervalle Sports Medicine Center, a space in which the ‘Valle Oro Puro’ athletes carry out their physical and mental recovery processes in high achievement. From the Government, the recognition is special on Nutritionist’s Day for his contribution to sports in the region.

“Each nutritionist is in charge of certain sports disciplines, in which they carry out individual and group interventions, to seek the optimal sports development of each of the athletes,” said Angélica Suarez, professional in charge of the Nutrition Area of ​​the Indervalle Sports Medicine Center .

Two professionals work in the Paralympic and Deaf Olympic sectors, and four support the conventional sector, making up a group of professionals who day by day contribute from their knowledge so that the athletes of the Valley lead a healthy, balanced and healthy life.

This group of professionals carry out their work with added value, since several have been high-performance athletes and have the opportunity to start their professional working life with the entity, facilitating a transition from sports to professional working life. Within the team are Shannon Noguera, Valeria Arroyo and athletes such as Angélica Suárez, outstanding in swimming races, Karen Silva in archery, Natalia Giraldo and David Peña in skating.

Provide personalized and constant advice for nutritional and anthropometric assessment, deliver meal plans, nutritional education, sweat rates, are some of the activities carried out by these professionals.
