Nvidia is expanding its AI-powered graphics technology, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), to four PC games including Gears of War: E-Day, Phantom Blade Zero, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and No More Room in Hell 2, bringing 2nd-generation AI super resolution and dynamic multi-frame generation to hardware lineups like the GeForce RTX 50 series.
Gears of War: E-Day and Phantom Blade Zero Lead DLSS 4.5 Adoption
Gears of War: E-Day, scheduled for an October 6 release, is currently running a multiplayer open beta. PC players testing the beta can utilize DLSS Super Resolution alongside Nvidia Reflex to minimize input latency. According to official release details, full support for DLSS 4.5 and ray tracing features will deploy following the game’s official launch.
Similarly, the action role-playing game Phantom Blade Zero arrives on October 29. It will leverage DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and multi-frame generation on GeForce RTX personal computers and laptops, while applying ray tracing to reflections and shadows.
Tactical Shooters and Cooperative Titles Integrate AI Graphics
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launched recently as a 50-versus-50 multiplayer experience set during the Vietnam War. The title experienced a delay from its initial June release window as development teams focused on supplementing performance and stability. It now incorporates DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution.
Meanwhile, the 8-player cooperative zombie shooter No More Room in Hell 2 is expanding its integration of DLSS 4.5 as it exits early access. The game builds upon earlier implementations of DLSS super resolution and frame generation by introducing dynamic multi-frame generation for GeForce RTX 50 series hardware. Nvidia’s platform records designate the title as supporting DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and up to a 6x multi-frame generation multiplier.
Under the Hood of DLSS 4.5 and Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation
DLSS 4.5 utilizes a 2nd-generation AI model for ‘super resolution’ and includes ‘dynamic multi-frame generation’ which automatically adjusts the amount of frame generation.
- Gears of War: E-Day: Open beta features DLSS Super Resolution and Nvidia Reflex; full DLSS 4.5 and ray tracing arrive post-launch on October 6.
- Phantom Blade Zero: Launches October 29 with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, multi-frame generation, and ray-traced reflections and shadows.
- Hell Let Loose: Vietnam: Features DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution following its rescheduled release.
- No More Room in Hell 2: Exits early access with full DLSS 4.5 support, including up to 6x multi-frame generation on RTX 50 series GPUs.
