ColorOS 17 Rollout Expands to Oppo F35 Pro
Oppo has initiated the third wave of its ColorOS 17 software rollout, bringing the Android 17-based operating system to the Oppo F35 Pro. This update prioritizes data security and system responsiveness, marking a significant transition for the device since its launch last month, according to reporting by Telset.id.
The rollout, which began in early November 2026, includes a variety of smartphone and tablet models, with the flagship Find series receiving priority. While the F35 Pro is now included in this third wave, the manufacturer has yet to publish a finalized, comprehensive list of all supported handsets, as the distribution remains tied to regional beta testing and hardware series priorities.
Integration of AI-Driven Defense Mechanisms
The update introduces advanced security features designed to counter modern cyber threats. Central to this is the AI Call Guard, which warns users of potential synthetic voice fraud and manipulated deepfake imagery during communication.
Additional security layers include the Private Computing Cloud, which ensures data protection, and a Secure Payment Environment designed to conduct banking transactions through encrypted channels. Users also gain access to Privacy Dashboard 2.0, providing a 24-hour window to monitor app data usage, and an AI Anti-Peeping tool that hides notifications if the device sensors detect unauthorized individuals viewing the screen. A System Cloner feature allows users to partition data between work and personal environments.

Performance Enhancements for F-Series Hardware
The update includes the ColorOS Smoothness Boost, a feature exclusive to the F-series, which works alongside the Laminar Flow engine to improve daily system responsiveness. Telset.id noted that these tools are essential for the F35 Pro, which utilizes the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset and an 8,000mAh battery. The software aims to prevent the performance degradation often associated with intensive background security scanning.
ColorOS 17 Integrates AI Agents for Privacy and Automation
ColorOS 17 points toward deep integration of AI agents rather than simple chatbot applications. While the system utilizes OpenAI and Manus APIs for advanced agent-based requests, the company maintains that local processing handles personal data to ensure privacy. This approach contrasts with earlier iterations of the interface, moving toward a more autonomous “agent” model for user workflows.

The system features the AI Mind Pilot, designed to handle complex tasks, and an AI Photo Agent that enables users to edit images via voice commands. The AI Mind Space has been upgraded to store documents and links from platforms like YouTube and TikTok, turning them into searchable memories. For general queries, the Ask Mode allows users to prompt Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT simultaneously to view results side-by-side.
Oppo Rolls Out F35 Pro with Tiered Global Availability
While the F35 Pro is now included in the rollout, the global distribution remains tiered. Harian Disway reported that Oppo has not yet released a comprehensive, finalized list of all supported devices, keeping the rollout process largely based on regional beta testing and hardware series priorities. For the F35 Pro specifically, pricing in the Indian market has been noted at approximately INR 45,999. The full extent of regional availability and the exact timeline for remaining handset models within the Find, Reno, and F series currently remains unconfirmed by the manufacturer.
Oppo has also indicated that tablets, including the Pad Mini, are expected to join the update cycle, though specific timelines for these devices, as well as for the Find X9 series, remain outstanding. Users are still waiting for official confirmation regarding the full scope of the rollout for older or secondary devices.
