Oral sex poses a far greater risk of developing throat cancer than smoking, according to a doctor in Singapore. The cause is sexually transmitted HP viruses.

“Men are more likely to develop throat cancer if they have oral sex with women because women are more likely to carry the HPV virus in their genital area,” Sadovskya explained.
In another Study The ACS found that men were actually more likely to be affected by HP virus-associated throat cancer. Accordingly, the number rose by 2.8 percent between 2015 and 2019.
